Phoenix Suns Needs Heading Into the Offseason

Phoenix Suns Free Agents

  • E’Twaun Moore, SG
  • Langston Galloway, SG
  • Torrey Craig, SF
  • Cameron Payne, PG
  • Chris Paul, PG (Player-Option)
  • Frank Kaminsky, C

Even after a very successful regular season and playoffs, the Suns still have a lot of decisions to make this offseason. All signs point towards the Suns re-signing Craig, Payne and, of course, Chris Paul. After that, the Phoenix front office has a lot of decisions to make. It’s likely they attempt to re-sign Payne. As for Craig? The Suns will probably try and bring him back on a cheap contract. Overall, it was a great season in Phoenix, but to keep their momentum going, they need to bring back some of their great role players.

Phoenix Suns Draft Picks

  • First Round, 29th Overall

Phoenix Suns Draft Targets

Jared Butler, PG/SG

Jared Butler likely won’t be there when the Suns pick at 29, however, if Butler were to fall into their laps, they should consider them incredibly lucky. Butler is a great defensively and shows promise on offense. He also played for the national champion Baylor Bears this past season. He would also be insurance for Chris Paul and Cameron Payne. Finally, at the ate age of 22, many would consider that a problem. However, with all the young talent already in Phoenix, he would be a nice veteran presence on the team.

Tre Mann, PG/SG

Tre Mann is one of the most gifted players in this draft, on offense. Last year for Florida. He would also be a great shooting addition for the Suns. He knocked down 41% of his shots from deep last yea, and is also a plus distributor. He’s not the best on the defensive side, but his offensive upside would be great for an already great team.

Ayo Dosunmu, PG

Ayo Dosunmu is a player would almost definitely be on the board for the Suns at pick 28. Dosunmu is a great defender and can handle his own on offense. He would also provide some pop off the bench as he scored over 20 points per game at Illinois in 2020. Finally, he might be the most NBA-ready player in the draft.
