After winning Super Bowl LIX in a rout over the Kansas City Chiefs two years ago, many had the Philadelphia Eagles slated to repeat in 2025. With a stacked roster and depth at seemingly every position, there was little reason to think they wouldn’t be a contender again. Instead, the Eagles had troubles across the board. From the play of Jalen Hurts to questionable coaching from Nick Sirianni, the Eagles made the playoffs at 11-6 but promptly lost at home in the NFC Wild Card to the San Francisco 49ers, 23-19. With plenty of questions to answer this season, the Eagles will look to fortify an already strong roster in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Here are three Philadelphia Eagles draft targets to take with the 23rd overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Philadelphia Eagles Draft Targets at No. 23

Emmanuel McNeil-Warren, S, Toledo

For as solid a team as the Eagles have overall, they do have a hole at safety. After snagging starting cornerback Quinyon Mitchell in the 2024 NFL Draft, they may once again look to Toledo for secondary help. Much like Mitchell, Emmanuel McNeil-Warren is not viewed as highly as a prospect due to his competition while playing at Toledo. He may not be the most complete player in this draft class, but he still does fit a need for the Philadelphia Eagles, and he fits the profile of players they like to draft as well.

The biggest upside for McNeil-Warren is his size. At 6’3″, he is a long player who has more than enough size to start in the NFL. He’s a major disruptor who hits hard and takes pride in forcing plenty of fumbles. He works hard to get off blocks and has good anticipation as well. The Eagles pride themselves on taking the best player available, no matter what, in the draft, and they also like drafting big, physical players that can bring some pop to the defense. Emmanuel McNeil-Warren checks both of those boxes and would immediately fill a role for the Philadelphia defense.

Keldric Faulk, EDGE, Auburn

Part of the reason the Eagles have had such a vaunted defense for a few years now is because of their philosophy on team building. Just because they have a solid defense doesn’t mean they pivot and only draft offensive players. They draft reinforcements and are constantly looking to build upon their strengths. Keldric Faulk is a solid edge rusher from Auburn who would bring the nastiness the Eagles’ front office is looking for in their players.

Although it’s great to have a mean and nasty defense as the Eagles do, they do have issues with character on their team. Faulk is known for being a high-character player during his time at Auburn, being named an accountability leader for the team. The Eagles certainly aren’t looking for just high-character players, who will help their defense that can lose their cool at times. In addition, Faulk is a massive human being at 6’6″ and 285 pounds. His size is exactly what the Eagles’ organization looks for as they often go for the big bodies who can deliver a hit as well.

Omar Cooper Jr., WR, Indiana

This one may seem out of left field at first, but it makes more sense than you’d think, especially with the status of AJ Brown up in the air. It is certainly possible that AJ Brown stays with the team this season, but there are plenty of reports either saying that he wants to be traded or that the Eagles are looking to trade him. If that happens, the Eagles suddenly have a wide receiver problem. Outside of DeVonta Smith, their next receivers in line for targets would be Hollywood Brown and Dontayvion Wicks.

Simply put, no team is winning the Super Bowl, much less making it, with that as their receiving corps. Drafting Omar Cooper Jr. would give the Eagles another solid receiving option. Not only does he have the size and speed to play outside at the NFL level, but he has the experience of playing in the slot during his time at Indiana. He did a good job beating press coverage in college and has elite-level acceleration as well. Although there is plenty to be determined in the AJ Brown saga, drafting Omar Cooper Jr. could help the Eagles’ offense not skip a beat, assuming Brown does depart Philadelphia.
