The Philadelphia Eagles once again claimed the NFC East title last season, but their Super Bowl defense came to an early end with a first-round playoff exit. The year was marked by struggles from quarterback Jalen Hurts and the offense, which led to some locker room turbulence.

After the disappointing finish, the Eagles will once again have a new offensive coordinator in 2026, with Sean Mannion taking over the role. Philadelphia enters the draft as a team to watch, particularly with trade rumors swirling around star wide receiver AJ Brown.

If Brown is ultimately dealt, wide receiver would immediately become a key area of focus. GM Howie Roseman is widely regarded as one of the best in the business and is never shy about making aggressive moves. As a result, many believe the Eagles could be a candidate to move up in the first round.

Let’s take a look at the full list of 2026 Philadelphia Eagles draft picks, team needs and first-round NFL mock drafts.

Philadelphia Eagles NFL Draft Needs

Offensive Tackle

Time is running out on the NFL career of star right tackle Lane Johnson who will turn 36 in May. With left tackle Jordan Mailata also turning 29 in March, a young addition at the position would be a welcome component of the Philadelphia Eagles NFL Draft. Fortunately, they picked a good year to have this be their major need, as the draft class is simmering with offensive line talent.

EDGE

Jaelen Phillips was awesome for the Eagles after being acquired via trade in the middle of last season. However, he has since departed for Carolina as a free agent and leaves a glaring need at the position. Jalyx Hunt and Nolan Smith are still early in their careers with room to grow. Philly will hope for free agent acquisition Arnold Ebiketie to take a step forward as well, but spending an early pick on the pass rush would be wise.

Safety

The safety position has been in flux for the Eagles this offseason. Reed Blankenship departed as a free agent, and Sydney Brown was traded to Atlanta. As a result, second-year pro Andrew Mukuba is the only solidified starter at the position. Marcus Epps and Michael Carter provide good depth, but the Eagles could pounce on a young talent early in the 2026 NFL Draft if the opportunity presents itself.

Other Eagles Draft Needs

  • Wide Receiver
  • Interior Offensive Line
  • Tight End

With these needs in mind, let’s take a look at how analysts are projecting the Eagles to approach the first round.

Eagles Mock Drafts | First-Round Picks

Here are four Philadelphia Eagles mock drafts for the first round from ESPN, CBS, NFL Network and FlurrySports. Who do draft pundits think the Eagles will select with the 23rd overall pick?

No. 23 | Eagles NFL Draft Pick

Max Iheanachor, OT, Arizona State | ESPN

A converted basketball player, Max Iheanachor has a ton of potential provided that he can improve upon his technique and recognition. Thus, the Eagles would actually be a solid landing spot for him as he would not be asked to start right away, given the veterans in place.

Spencer Fano, OT, Utah | CBS

This is about as low as you will see Spencer Fano going in first-round mocks. He comes into the league with experience playing at both tackle spots which only helps his draft stock. His hands are also among the best in this class. Realistically, the Eagles might have to move up the board in order to secure him.

Makai Lemon, WR, USC | NFL Network

As a sure-handed slot receiver, Makai Lemon makes for an interesting Eagles mock draft projection given that this is the primary position of DeVonta Smith. With the team also adding Dontayvion Wicks via trade this offseason, Lemon would arguably give Philly an abundance of riches at wideout.

Caleb Lomu, OT, Utah | FlurrySports

Assuming the Eagles stay put at No. 23, Caleb Lomu would be a nice alternative to Fano at offensive tackle. While he could stand to put on some more muscle, his athleticism and movement are on par with the best linemen in this class.
