All WWE betting odds for NXT Vengeance Day are taken from BetOnline Sportsbook.
NXT Championship Steel Cage Match: Bron Breakker (c) vs Grayson Waller
Moneyline Odds to Win:
- Bron Breakker: (-700)
- Grayson Waller: (+400)
The first title match between Bron Breakker and Grayson Waller at NXT New Year’s Evil ended in controversial fashion with the ring ropes coming apart not once but twice. The second occurrence sent Waller tumbling out of the ring onto his head, and he failed to be the referee’s count of ten as a result. No one, including Breakker, was pleased with the outcome. This led GM Shawn Michaels to announce a rematch inside a steel cage at NXT Vengeance Day 2023.
What made the ending to the first matchup that much more disappointing is the fact that Waller appeared to be closing in on the victory when the ropes gave out. The challenger has consistently been able to get under the skin of the champion and more than backed up his talk at New Year’s Evil. Waller has continued to be a thorn in Breakker’s side in the lead-up to Vengeance Day.
The issue with backing the challenger with our NXT Vengeance Day predictions is the fact that the two superstars just faced off. If not for the ring ropes coming undone, Waller would’ve won the first encounter. Lesser champions might be vulnerable, but getting the better of Breakker twice in one month’s time is next to impossible.
While rumors of a main roster call-up for Breakker are worth factoring into our analysis, that jump seems more likely to come post-WrestleMania than on the road to Los Angeles. A win on Saturday will only further solidify Breakker’s status as the most dominant NXT Champion of all-time.
WWE Betting Picks: Bron Breakker (-700 at BetOnline Sportsbook)
NXT Women’s Championship Triple Threat Match: Roxanne Perez (c) vs Gigi Dolin vs Jacy Jayne
Moneyline Odds to Win:
- Roxanne Perez: (-2000)
- Jacy Jayne (+700)
- Gigi Dolin: (+1200)
Out of all the bouts on the NXT Vengeance Day match card, this has easily had the most compelling build. It started at NXT New Year’s Evil where Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne were the last two standing in the 20-women battle royal to determine the No. 1 contender. Both ultimately went over the top rope, but their feet hit simultaneously. As a result, Roxanne Perez must defend the NXT Women’s Championship that she won from Mandy Rose against both remaining members of Toxic Attraction.
Over the last several weeks, the storyline surrounding this matchup has been electric. After losing a tag team match to Perez and Lyra Valkyria, it appeared as though cracks and dissent were forming between Jayne and Dolin. The two certainly played it up the following week and successfully deceived Perez at the NXT Women’s Championship summit before power slamming her through a table.
On the go-home episode of NXT this past week, Perez finally snapped from all of the insults Toxic Attraction threw at her. One couldn’t help but notice that right before the backstage assault, Jayne took offense to Dolin saying “when I win”. As for Saturday’s match, so many questions remain. Will Dolin and Jayne work together? Or will their selfish attitudes allow Perez to escape?
The current WWE betting odds certainly believe that “The Prodigy” is going to walk out of NXT Vengeance Day 2023 with her title. It seems far more likely that the Toxic Attraction alliance finally does break down with championship gold on the line. Jayne and Dolin could be headed towards a head-to-head collision at NXT Stand & Deliver.
WWE Betting Picks: Roxanne Perez (-2000 at BetOnline Sportsbook)
NXT North American Championship Match: Wes Lee (c) vs Dijak
Moneyline Odds to Win:
- Dijak: (-300)
- Wes Lee: (+200)
Dijak successfully took out Tony D’Angelo at New Year’s Evil to earn this NXT North American Championship match against Wes Lee. The build to this matchup has been rather lackluster, and the same can be said of Lee’s status as champion. While Lee’s rise to the top was a hard-fought journey and well deserved, the North American title will lack much of any juice so long as he has it.
The lack of direction with Lee as champion only reinforces the naked eye test that Dijak should roll in this matchup. The discrepancy between these two superstars in terms of size and power is enormous. Lee will have to utilize his speed and aerial tactics in order to keep the big man off balance. It may work for a while, but a scenario in which he actually manages to pin Dijak for a count of three is virtually impossible to fathom.
Now, it’s worth throwing out there that D’Angelo and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo were talking about some “other business” on this week’s episode of NXT. Could that business have to do with interfering and costing Dijak the title? Unless the Don and his underboss get involved, it seems wise to expect that justice will indeed be served at NXT Vengeance Day.
WWE Betting Picks: Dijak (-300 at BetOnline Sportsbook)
NXT Tag Team Championship Fatal Four-Way Match: The New Day (c) vs Gallus vs Pretty Deadly vs Chase U
Moneyline Odds to Win:
- The New Day: (+150)
- Gallus: (+200)
- Pretty Deadly: (+200)
- Chase U: (+450)
The New Day came back to NXT in pursuit of becoming triple crown tag team champions and successfully accomplished this goal by defeating Pretty Deadly at NXT Deadline two months ago. The question is whether or not Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods have bitten off more than they can chew by agreeing to take on three other teams at once at Vengeance Day.
Based on the WWE betting odds, the NXT Tag Team Championship Fatal Four-Way Match is the toughest to predict and fittingly so given that four teams will be involved. While The New Day are the betting favorites at BetOnline Sportsbook, all four teams carry plus-money prices into Saturday’s event.
In terms of brute power, Gallus figures to have the advantage over the other three teams in this title matchup. However, Mark Coffey and Wolfgang only recently returned from their suspension and certainly do not have the same storyline appeal as the other teams involved.
Meanwhile, Chase U only earned a spot in this match just this past Tuesday by winning The New Day Tag Team Invitational. The constant threat of internal strife between Andre Chase and Duke Hudson makes it tough to see the longshot underdogs emerging victorious at NXT Vengeance Day.
Then, there’s Pretty Deadly, who have been stuck jumping through hoops for a rematch against The New Day ever since losing the titles. Of course, a Fatal Four-Way isn’t a true rematch, but it also perfectly plays into the hands of how Kit Wilson and Elton Prince typically get their wins. No disqualifications combined with the fact that The New Day doesn’t even need to be pinned has all the makings of producing a controversial ending in which Pretty Deadly reclaims the gold.
WWE Betting Picks: Pretty Deadly (+200 at BetOnline Sportsbook)
Two Out of Three Falls Match: Apollo Crews vs Carmelo Hayes
Moneyline Odds to Win:
- Carmelo Hayes: (-1000)
- Apollo Crews: (+500)
Over the past month, Apollo Crews and Carmelo Hayes each managed to successfully pin the other in separate matches. Hayes got an assist from Trick Williams, and Crews picked up his pinfall in tag team action. At NXT Vengeance Day 2023, a Two Out of Three Falls Match will determine once and for all which superstar earns bragging rights. The winner of this match would also be a frontrunner to emerge as the next challenger for the NXT Championship.
From a pricing standpoint, it’s hard to decipher why Hayes is such a large favorite according to the WWE betting odds. Sure, he’s a two-time NXT North American Champion and will have Williams in his corner on Saturday. However, the gap between him and Crews in terms of talent and perceived build is not that large.
Many believe that Hayes could be the man to eventually dethrone Bron Breakker and capture the NXT Championship. Under this guise, it makes sense that he is the favorite. Laying a -1000 price isn’t ideal, but no part of the build to this match suggests that it would be wise to bet against Hayes. In all likelihood, Williams will get involved and force a controversial ending that Crews can easily bounce back from.
WWE Betting Picks: Carmelo Hayes (-1000 at BetOnline Sportsbook)
NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship Match: Katana Chance and Kayden Carter (c) vs Fallon Henley and Kiana James
Moneyline Odds to Win:
- Katana Chance & Kayden Carter: (-800)
- Fallon Henley & Kiana James: (+450)
This women’s tag team title defense was seemingly together in an effort to have all of the championships defended on the WWE NXT Vengeance Day match card. Katana Chance and Kayden Carter have already broken the record as the longest-reigning women’s tag team champs. Based on some of the other challengers that they have toppled during their reign, Saturday’s matchup shouldn’t be that difficult.
While the upstart duo of Fallon Henley and Kiana James is intriguing, it also doesn’t seem likely to last. The same can be said of James’ romance with Brooks Jensen following the backstage phone call that took place this past Tuesday.
With concerns about how well Henley and James will coexist in just their second match as a tag team, it seems very likely that Chance and Carter will retain. The newly-united team of Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre feels much more capable of ending the current champions’ reign in the near future.
