NASCAR heads to the Pocono Mountains this weekend for one of the most distinctive stops on the schedule. Pocono Raceway’s triangular layout and varying corner banking make it unlike anything else drivers encounter during the season — a true one-of-a-kind challenge that rewards raw speed and smooth execution.

This marks the first time since 2023 that the ARCA Menards Series will be a part of the NASCAR Pocono weekend schedule. Three years ago, it was Jesse Love who went to victory lane for Venturini Motorsports. The successor to that organization, Nitro Motorsports, will have five cars in the field this week. Meanwhile, Gio Ruggiero will be vying to win for the second week in a row and the fourth time in five ARCA starts this season.
The action gets underway midday on Friday in with practice and qualifying in advance of the 3:00 p.m. race start.

After a week off, the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series returns to action this weekend. The MillerTech Battery 250 marks the 11th consecutive year that the series has competed at Pocono Raceway. Defending race winner Connor Zilisch will be in the field driving for JR Motorsports. In a fun twist, he won this race a year ago with Dale Earnhardt Jr. himself atop the pit box as crew chief.
Cole Custer, the 2024 race winner, and William Byron round out the short list of Cup Series stars pulling double-duty this week. While Justin Allgaier enters the NASCAR Pocono weekend schedule with a huge points lead, the battle to qualify for the 12-driver O’Reilly Series Chase is heating up. Positions 12-15 in the standings are all separated by just 15 points ahead of Saturday’s race.
Practice and qualifying will take place Saturday morning with the race getting underway shortly after the Cup cars host their qualifying session.

The main event of the NASCAR Pocono weekend schedule is slated to get underway at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday. The last five Cup Series races at the Tricky Triangle have all featured a different winner. Denny Hamlin accounted for one of those, and he owns three outright victories in the last nine Pocono races contested. Chase Elliott, Ryan Blaney and Alex Bowman are among the other drivers in the field this week who have recently won here.
Joe Gibbs Racing has been the dominant race team at Pocono going back over the years. Chase Briscoe was the latest JGR driver to find victory lane here last year. The long, flat track prioritizes cars with raw speed, and that would seem to favor the Toyotas in the current 2026 season as well.
