Strengths
Mykel Williams is built to be an edge defender in the NFL. His length will allow him to create separation and win against some of the smaller offensive tackles. He’s a violent, explosive player who has a high motor. Williams also has the quickness and speed to make plays behind and on the far side of the line of scrimmage.
Aside from getting after the passer, Williams also plays the run well. He can also thrive in several different alignments, giving the defensive coordinator the ability to get creative.
Weaknesses
Williams needs more experience, as he still needs to develop more pass rush moves and counters. With the right coaching, he could be outstanding. With below-average coaching, he will struggle to find consistency in the NFL. Williams also gets beaten off the ball far too often for a player with his quickness.
