The Spartans have a solid defense that only allows 67 points per game, but they aren’t very dynamic on offense. Michigan State averages just over 70 points per game which is 226th in the nation.
USC has been virtually the exact same team as Michigan State this year. They average just over 72 points per game and also give up 67 per game. While USC did finish with just six losses, they have had the benefit of playing in a much easier Pac-12 conference.
USC has lost two of three with their one win coming in a slim 68-65 victory over an Arizona State team that would come back and beat them in the Pac-12 tournament.
