When is the 2025 NFL Draft?
The 2025 NFL Draft kicks off on Thursday, April 24, beginning at 8 p.m. ET. The draft will take place in Green Bay, WI, which brings plenty of potential challenges. Only Round 1 will take place on Thursday. Rounds 2-3 will take place on April 25th, with the remaining four rounds wrapping up on Sunday, April 26th. There will be 257 players selected across the seven rounds, with many more getting phone calls immediately afterward.

Strengths
Matthew Golden’s strength is his incredible speed; no need to beat around the bush on that one. He ran a 4.29-second 40-yard dash and looks just as fast on film, too. He’s shown flashes of brilliance at kick returner and always seemed to be the one making the big plays this past year when the Texas Longhorns needed it most. He has incredible agility and body control, and Golden can play anywhere as a receiver, whether that’s in the slot or on the outside.
Weaknesses
The biggest issue for Golden is that he drops the ball too often, especially when he feels the defense closing in on him. At times, he has also shown a lack of care running his routes if he feels like he’s being covered well. While he does have incredible speed, his lack of strength shown on tape will be a problem at the next level.
