All of the preseason games are in the books, and all 32 teams have trimmed their rosters to 53 players. Yes, there will still be plenty of moves made, with some teams very willing to eat out of the trash from other buildings. But, for the most part, the rosters heading into NFL Week 1 are set!
Given some of the news with cuts, trades and one offensive player going on the Commissioner’s Exempt List, we have seen some major changes in fantasy football ADP trends. We’ll talk about the most trending players today, which include Green Bay Packers running back MarShawn Lloyd.
MarShawn Lloyd Tops Most Trending in Fantasy Football ADP
Josh Jacobs, the starting running back for the Packers, was promptly charged by police and placed on the Commissioner’s Exempt List once the police obtained the video showing the alleged incident with his girlfriend. Not good. Many are comparing this situation to Jabrill Peppers, who was on the list for seven games. He was removed from the list due to being out for more than the baseline six games for a first-time offense in the personal conduct policy.
But here’s the thing: Peppers was acquitted on all charges. There is a video of the incident with Jacobs, and everything escalated, both legally and with the NFL, once police obtained the evidence. This context does not seem to favor the running back. Once we get closer to Week 6 or Week 7, we could see this video get “leaked” by someone, clearing up why Jacobs will remain out instead of being reinstated. Remember everyone’s reaction to Ray Rice? The same energy could come for Jacobs, and that will not lead to him returning this season.
So, this major legal update is why MarShawn Lloyd is skyrocketing in fantasy football ADP trends. However, the mystery of how long Jacobs will be out, along with many fantasy analysts touting he will only be out six weeks, does keep Lloyd staying respectful in value.
Currently, the MarShawn Lloyd fantasy ADP on Sleeper Fantasy is 157 (RB45) in PPR leagues. He is the most trending player over the past seven days, rising 41.5 spots, per my Fantasy Football Draft Kit. However, Sleeper does take a wider range of data into their displayed ADP. Other platforms see him getting taken around 90 overall, so you should expect to see him continue to rise in Sleeper drafts, and you shouldn’t feel afraid to reach a little.

Other Trends in Fantasy Football ADP
Other players trending up in fantasy football ADP include Kayshon Boutte (+38.1), Malik Washington (+25) and Cooper Kupp (+24.9). Trending the opposite direction include the injured Jayden Higgins (-42), rookies Kenyon Sadiq (-21.4) and Zachariah Branch (-19.2), and the veteran Jauan Jennings (-17.6).
