Keon Johnson Highlights

Keon Johnson Draft Profile

Strengths

Keon Johnson brings a boatload of athleticism and a solid frame with him from the college ranks. He has all the tools NBA teams look for. With some fine-tuning of his skills, he figures to live up to lottery pick potential. He isn’t afraid to get after it in the paint, playing physical defense and fighting for rebounds. Johnson also has shown an ability to run the point on offense. He has a great burst on his dribble-drive and explodes to finish at the rim. Johnson was a defensive standout at Tennessee. He does everything from lockdown his man to jump passing lanes and create havoc with his quick hands.

Weaknesses

While the raw skills and athleticism are there, Johnson is one of the least polished prospects projected to go in the mid-to-upper First Round of the NBA Draft. He primarily drove to the right in college and will need to work on going left more as well as his ball-handling skills in general. Outside shooting is currently not a part of his game, but Johnson has a shooting stroke capable of being developed. He will also need to improve as a playmaker.
