When is the 2025 NFL Draft?
The 2025 NFL Draft kicks off on Thursday, April 24, beginning at 8 p.m. ET. The draft will take place in Green Bay, WI, which brings plenty of potential challenges. Only Round 1 will take place on Thursday. Rounds 2-3 will take place on April 25th, with the remaining four rounds wrapping up on Sunday, April 26th. There will be 257 players selected across the seven rounds, with many more getting phone calls immediately afterward.

Strengths
The number one reason Jalon Walker is so loved in the 2025 NFL Draft class is due to his ability to play either linebacker or on the edge of the defensive line. He is good at attacking the run and is a player who will absolutely light up anyone that is put in his path. He has a good burst, allowing him to close in on the ball carrier very quickly as well.
Weaknesses
The one big knock on Walker is his size. At just 6-1, he doesn’t have the size to play full-time at the edge position. In addition, he can find it hard to get off blocks and can even sometimes be easily pushed back when stacked up on the line in running situations. His instincts could also use some fine-tuning, no matter what position he plays at the next level.
