Projected Win Total

The Jaguars’ over/under currently sits at 8.0, after they went 5-11 last season. Jacksonville’s offense looks to be greatly improved this year. They seemingly have upgraded at quarterback and offensive coordinator, and the group will also have a healthy Leonard Fournette and Marqise Lee.

Strength of Schedule

SOS is measured by calculating the fantasy points allowed by each team’s opponents to determine who has the easiest and most difficult fantasy schedules (rank #1 has the easiest schedule).

QB: 1st
RB: 18th
WR: 1st
TE: 6th

Passing Game

QB: Nick Foles, Gardner Minshew
WR: Marqise Lee, Keelan Cole
WR: Dede Westbrook, Chris Conley
WR: D.J. Chark, Terrelle Pryor
TE: Josh Oliver, Geoff Swaim

One of the biggest moves of the offseason was the Jaguars signing free agent Nick Foles to a big contract. He should be an upgrade over what they had, and we know Foles will not be afraid to push the ball down the field, making these receivers more fantasy relevant. Meanwhile, Foles is going undrafted, at QB25, but possesses more upside than he’s getting credit for.

Speaking of not getting credit, Marqise Lee returns from an injury that kept him out last season. He’s a sneaky selection on draft day, as his current ADP of WR87 is well below his WR41 finish in 14 games two seasons ago. The top Jaguars receiver being drafted is Dede Westbrook (WR41), after finishing as WR33 last season. Second-year receiver D.J. Chark is impressing in camp early and is another sneaky candidate for a breakout season.

Running Game

RB: Leonard Fournette, Ryquell Armstead, Alfred Blue
2018 OL Run Rank: 21st

The offensive line played even worse than their 21st ranking says, but they did address this in free agency and the draft. Jacksonville’s biggest issue in the running game last season was the health of Leonard Fournette, who continues to play like a bruiser who cannot handle a bruise. He is currently going as RB14, after playing in just half of the games last season. When he did play, he averaged 15 points per contest, on par with Phillip Lindsay and Tarik Cohen. Backing him up is a fifth-round rookie and a trusted vet. While Fournette has proved to be injury prone, it would be tough to pair him with a backup, as they would likely split the work.
