Instead, I think we should look at the spread. Pittsburgh did not exactly have a great game against Mississippi State and probably should have lost that game. While Pittsburgh is not really that great of a team, what they are great at is keeping games close and covering the spread. We know that Iowa State wants to slow the game and play physical defense, which is something that I don’t know if Pittsburgh can overcome. While they will get to the free throw line, I think that Pitt is going to need a big day from the 3-point line to win this game. I think Pittsburgh keeps the game close, but ultimately ends up losing.
