Heat vs Celtics Prediction

Do the Heat have anything left in the gas tank? That is the burning question leading into Friday’s Game 6 matchup. Jimmy Butler may not be listed on the official Heat vs Celtics injury report, but he has hardly been himself over the last three games in this series. After exiting Game 3 with knee swelling, Butler has shot just 7-32 from the field in the two ensuing contests. As the only Heat player who is capable of creating his own shot consistently, Butler’s lack of explosiveness has doomed Miami’s offense.

The Heat also have to be praying that they will get Tyler Herro back for Friday night’s game. He did not play down the stretch of Game 3 and has missed each of the last two games in this series. Considering how awful the starting backcourt of Kyle Lowry and Max Strus has been in his absence, simply having Herro back on the court would have to be considered an upgrade.

For Boston, Marcus Smart and Robert Williams III are once again listed on the Game 6 Heat vs Celtics injury report. However, one has to believe that both are likely to play tonight after each participated in Wednesday’s matchup. One really cannot say enough about the difference Williams makes inside as a rim protector. He came up huge in the Game 5 victory with three blocked shots. Williams’ presence helped prevent Bam Adebayo from completely taking over as he did in Game 3.

Despite the notion that Celtics superstar Jayson Tatum is playing hurt, it’s hard to find much evidence to support this claim. He fell one assist shy of a triple-double in Wednesday’s win despite getting off to a horrendous shooting start. Along with Jaylen Brown, Tatum gives Boston a clear advantage over the Heat on the offensive end. Anything other than a Celtics win would be a surprise result tonight. While the Heat vs Celtics betting point spread is a little on the high side, Miami’s lack of offensive production sets up a play on the under as a promising wager.
