The Purdue Boilermakers and NC State Wolfpack will face off in the Final Four of the 2024 NCAA Basketball Tournament. Last round, Purdue pulled away late from Tennessee, 72-66, behind 40 points from center Zach Edey. NC State found themselves behind at halftime but scored 55 points in the second half to capture a 76-64 victory over Duke. Although Purdue has largely looked unstoppable, NC State and DJ Burns have been the hottest team in the country as of late, which could make a Purdue vs NC State prediction difficult.

Below, we will preview this Final Four NCAA Tournament college basketball game, providing data, trends and analysis. Which school will win and get the opportunity to play for the championship trophy?

Purdue vs NC State Prediction | March Madness Final Four Picks

There’s a reason Zach Edey was named National Player of the Year for the second straight year. He destroys any and all teams in his path and there isn’t a great way to stop him. Purdue has throttled everyone they’ve gone up against except for a very good Tennessee team in the Elite Eight. Although they only won by six, it always felt like they had the game under control.

NC State has continued their incredible run with a huge second half over Duke in the Elite Eight. Although this team has only played one team seeded three or higher, they have taken care of the business that was put in front of them. Center DJ Burns is an absolute force in the paint and his basketball IQ and passing ability are incredible for a player of his size and age.

Although NC State has had a great run, they have used a ton of luck on this run. While there is certainly a chance their luck continues, Purdue is a wagon. Even if Burns and Edey cancel each other out on both ends of the court, the surrounding cast for Purdue is just so much better. For our Final Four Purdue vs NC State prediction, we are picking the Purdue Boilermakers to win and move on in the NCAA Tournament.
