Following the All-Star Race in Texas, the NASCAR Cup Series is set to resume its points-paying regular season schedule this weekend. The Memorial Day Weekend tradition of Charlotte Motor Speedway hosting the Coca-Cola 600 continues. The longest race of the year will be the 14th race of the 2022 Cup Series campaign and the last in the month of May.
The tradition known as “600 Miles of Remembrance” will continue this year with each driver having one fallen service member’s name on his car. Not to mention the Coca-Cola 600 pre-race ceremonies which are always extra special as the sport honors the great men and women who have died serving our country. While the action on the track at Charlotte throughout the weekend will be thrilling to watch, it’s worth tuning into the Coca-Cola 600 TV coverage a little early for the pre-race memorial tributes.
In addition to the Cup Series stars, both the NASCAR Xfinity and Camping World Truck Series are also set to be in action at Charlotte this weekend.
