Grizzlies vs Timberwolves Prediction
Of all the First Round NBA Postseason matchups, this Western Conference series has certainly had the most swings. The way in which the Grizzlies and Timberwolves match up has led to some very compelling basketball. Both teams bring extremely deep rotations to the table. Both also have multiple players capable of an offensive outburst to take over a game on any given night. Despite the Grizzlies being favored and a slight majority (59%) of all public spread bets laying the small number with Memphis, one has to believe that the Wolves can put up a fight on their home floor tonight.
A strong argument could be made that Minnesota was fortunate to win Game 4 at all considering how lopsided the officiating was in their favor. The fact that they had to squeak out a one-point triumph was not a great look. With that being said, the same notion can be applied to the Grizzlies’ victories in both Games 3 and 5. If the Timberwolves could simply hold onto the double-digit leads they have consistently built throughout this series, they probably would have already advanced.
Ja Morant exploded for Memphis in Game 5, but he likely won’t provide the same type of contributions tonight. The Grizzlies may be deep, but the Wolves counter with weapons that extend far beyond the star names of Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards. Plus, there’s no way Patrick Beverley is going to let the Wolves bow out of the playoffs on their home floor, right?
