The Memphis Grizzlies raised some eyebrows around the league, with their 112-109 victory over the Jazz in Game 1. Dillon Brooks continues to step up on both sides of the ball, and his passion and intensity seems to have rubbed off of his teammates. Brooks led the Grizzlies in scoring in Game 1, with 31 points, but he also collected two steals and two blocks. Look for him and Ja Morant to continue to play hard-nosed defense in an attempt to grind the Utah Jazz down throughout Game 2.
For the Jazz, the biggest issue in Game 1 was three-point shooting. The Jazz made just 25.5% (12-47) from three-point range. Even as the number one seed, that is tough to recover from. The good news is that this was only a three-point game. I expect the Jazz to really buckle in for a Game 2 dogfight and to emerge victorious.
