Gonzaga vs TCU Prediction | March Madness Expert Picks and Bracketology

If not for a late-game collapse by Arizona State, TCU would not have even made it out of the First Round of the NCAA Tournament. Jamie Dixon’s Horned Frogs deserve a ton of credit for buckling down defensively in the closing minutes of that contest to advance. Their reward is a date with a Gonzaga team that appears to be playing its best basketball of the season at the right time.

Mark Few’s team comes into Sunday’s Second Round matchup having won 12 straight and 15 of 16 overall. The Bulldogs have the top-scoring offense in all of college basketball this year with an average of 86.4 points per game. They also rank first in adjusted offensive efficiency according to KenPom. With a brilliant post player in Drew Timme, a versatile scorer in Drew Strawther and several knockdown perimeter shooters, it’s easy to see why Gonzaga’s offense is a thing of beauty.

TCU will attempt to counter this offensive juggernaut with star guard, Mike Miles Jr. and heady defensive play. While the Horned Frogs will be more equipped to match up with Gonzaga from a size standpoint than Grand Canyon was on Friday, converting this into defensive stops will still be difficult.

Perhaps part of the reason why the point spread for this game is fairly tight is the respective conferences each team hails from. While TCU is part of a Big 12 that was viewed as the best league in the country this season, the narrative that playing in the WCC holds Gonzaga back has repeatedly been disproven. This figures to be a competitive game, but the Bulldogs should prove to be the superior team.

Our official college basketball betting Gonzaga vs TCU prediction will be GONZAGA COVERS at BetUS.

For what it’s worth, the ESPN Matchup Predictor gives Gonzaga a 67.4% chance to win.

Bet: Gonzaga -4.5 (-110 at BetUS Sportsbook)
