Coverage: ESPN+

Not even the WWE could script a story like this. Francis Ngannou and Ciryl Gane used to be training partners. Now, they don’t like each other and will fight for the heavyweight title.

Ngannou has knocked out five straight opponents. Three of the knockouts came less than a minute into the fight, and the longest fight lasted 52 seconds into the second round. He is an incredible striker and to see he has knockout power is an understatement. While he’s the UFC betting underdog, he has the potential to put anyone’s lights out with a single strike.

If the fight ends up going the distance, there’s no doubt that this benefits Gane. The undefeated fighter has been in the octagon twice since we last saw Ngannou, so he has been busy proving himself. Gane knocked out Derrick Lewis in his last fight. So, while Gane’s knockout potential may not be as lethal as Ngannou, he still has fire in his fists.
