Brandon Moreno vs Deiveson Figueiredo Preview | UFC 270

UFC 270 — Flyweight Title Fight | Match 2
Brandon “The Assassin Baby” Moreno (19-5-2, 3 KO, 11 Sub) vs. Deiveson “Deus da Guerra” Figueiredo (20-2-1, 9 KO, 8 Sub)
Date: Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022
Fight Time: This will be the fourth match on the main card, which begins at 10 p.m. EST.
Venue: T-Mobile Arena — Las Vegas, NV
Coverage: ESPN+

This will be the third straight fight between Brandon Moreno and Deiveson Figueiredo. The first fight ended in a draw, but Moreno got the upset in front of his home crowd in UFC 263. With the submission win, he became the first Mexican-born UFC champion.

This will be Moreno’s first title defense. It is also the third straight fight between these two. Moreno jokingly called Figueiredo his “best sponsor ever” due to the amount of money he will make against him inside the cage.

If the first two fights are any indication, this will be a high-energy fight. Both fighters will come out swinging and land plenty of shots. Figueiredo is looking especially shredded coming into this fight, and he was considered the better overall fighter prior to the last matchup. Simply, he looks ready to make a point, and he will be landing plenty of shots early. If Moreno can stay the course, he clearly knows how to defeat Figueiredo later on.
