The road to WrestleMania officially begins this Saturday with the WWE Royal Rumble 2023 premium live event. From the unique and unpredictable nature of the Royal Rumble Match to any number of surprise appearances, the event has become a fan-favorite and staple of the annual wrestling calendar. With this year’s match card also including multiple championship defenses and the first-ever Pitch Black Match, the FlurrySports staff is very fired up for the 2023 Royal Rumble!

Of course, the Royal Rumble is synonymous with the crowd counting down the seconds before the next Superstar enters the fray. The first inclination of who the next entrant will be comes when his/her respective entry music hits. Walkout and entrance songs are as prominent in professional wrestling as in any other sport. So, in advance of the Royal Rumble 2023, we asked several FlurrySports staff members the following prompt:

“If you were entering the Royal Rumble, what would you choose as your entrance song and why?”

As one can expect, the range of responses was quite eclectic! Check them out below, and make sure to tune into the WWE Royal Rumble 2023 on Saturday night! The action will stream live on Peacock with an 8 p.m. EST start time.

What Would Be Your WWE Royal Rumble Entrance Song?

Zach Brunner (@FantasyFlurry) — “Jump Around” by House of Pain

“Need something with energy. Need something for the crowd to get behind. Need something with ties to my Wisconsin roots. Altogether, it’s still a banger that will get everyone to their feet.”

Luke Reimer (@LukeReim) — “So Fresh, So Clean” by Outkast

“The chorus in “So Fresh, So Clean” is the perfect combination of an upbeat hip-hop song with a nice mix of swagger. It is a perfect combination for being the fan favorite in any wrestling event. While it may not be the stereotypical “hype” track, this song, especially the chorus, will put anyone in the mood to have a great time.”

Henry John (@HankTimeSports) — “The Triumph of King Freak” by Rob Zombie

“Based on the wrestlers that I always wind up pulling for, there’s no doubt that my Superstar persona would fall on the dark/heel end of the spectrum. “The Triumph of King Freak” delivers a mix of energy and fear that is perfect for a WWE ring entrance. The song has an ideal build for a dramatic walk-out and transforms into a total banger. My entrance will leave no doubt as to who is king and who will triumph.”

Trevor Land (@TrevorLand2) — “Hiding Evidence” by Tyler Bates

“The best entrances in WWE are with songs that are popular due to their ties to wrestlers as entrance music instead of being mainstream hits. This song opens up with some creepy chanting/noises before the beat comes in and gets even the most mild-mannered person ready to run through a brick wall. By the time I’m ready to enter the ring, the crowd will be amped up and ready to witness a heck of a match.”

Hunter Skoczylas (@HunterSkoczylas) — “Michael Myers Halloween Theme” by John Carpenter

“Picture this: The whole arena goes dark for a second and you hear the Halloween theme song start to get progressively louder. Boom! Flashing lights, an obscene amount of smoke machines and my 6’4” 180 lb frame emerging. There’s an immediate intimidation factor and it creates goosebumps similar to the Undertaker’s entrance.”
