Fantasy Football Week 8 WR Streamers

Ricky Pearsall Fantasy Outlook (12.7%)

In a stunning turn of events, Ricky Pearsall is arguably the healthiest wide receiver on the San Francisco 49ers roster. This is especially impressive considering he missed the first six weeks of the season recovering from a gunshot wound.

Pearsall finished his debut in Week 7 with three catches on five targets for 21 yards. While the output wasn’t anything to go crazy over, Pearsall is likely to be thrust into a prominent role with Brandon Aiyuk out for the season with an ACL injury. In an upcoming favorable matchup with the Dallas Cowboys in Week 8, Pearsall could have himself a coming-out party. Yes, he is a fantasy football Week 8 streamers option, but he could end up being much more than that.

Trey Palmer Fantasy Outlook (1.9%)

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had a nightmare of an evening on Monday night, losing in embarrassing fashion to the Baltimore Ravens and losing both of their top wide receivers in the process. Mike Evans exited the game in the first half with what appeared to be a serious hamstring injury, while Chris Godwin suffered a season-ending ankle injury during garbage time.

These injuries have thrust Trey Palmer into a potentially prominent role in the offense, alongside Jalen McMillan and Cade Otton. Palmer finished Week 7 with one catch for 16 yards on three targets, but he is set up for a significant increase in usage in the Bucs’ Week 8 matchup against the Falcons.

Jalen Tolbert Fantasy Outlook (27%)

The Dallas Cowboys had a much-needed bye in Week 7 after being dominated by the Detroit Lions the week prior. In that loss, Jalen Tolbert finished with 43 yards on four catches from five targets. While it wasn’t Tolbert’s best performance, the Cowboys’ offense as a whole struggled.

However, we shouldn’t be discouraged by that. Tolbert finished as the WR12 in Week 5 in Brandin Cooks’ absence and is likely to continue benefiting from Cooks’ injury. Tolbert has also finished as WR24 and WR34 this season, with a solid 14.7% target share. Additionally, he’s a deep threat, ranking 22nd in deep targets. Tolbert offers weekly fantasy football streamer upside as long as Brandin Cooks remains sidelined.
