Some things never change. When people doubted Aaron Rodgers most, he led the Green Bay Packers to a win against the Dallas Cowboys. Of course, he finally got some help from a member of his receiving corps. Rookie wide receiver Christian Watson finally found a bit of confidence, and it has led to him being among the top fantasy football waiver wire pickups for Week 11.

We have been waiting to see which receiving option would step up in Green Bay for fantasy football purposes. Romeo Doubs has shown flashes, while Allen Lazard has typically followed up on everything good he has done with an injury. Christian Watson fantasy football owners have been more than frustrated, since he had totaled more drops and injuries than receptions on the season, until the Cowboys matchup.

Let’s take a closer look at Christian Watson as a fantasy football waiver wire pickup for Week 11.

Christian Watson Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickup in Week 11

The Christian Watson fantasy football performance against the Cowboys started very typically. He dropped a couple of passes and went to the sideline banged up. However, the body-catching maestro was still receiving confidence from Aaron Rodgers on the sideline, saying he would continue feeding him.

The result was a big Christian Watson touchdown, and you could see everything about him change from that point. He was running a bit faster, playing through injuries and, yes, still catching everything thrown his way with his body, but passes weren’t hitting the turf.

Watson played 54 of the Packers’ 64 offensive snaps, and he caught three touchdowns on the day. More notably, his self-confidence changed and the confidence of his MVP quarterback in him grew. The Packers have plenty of injuries in the receiving corps, so they will need to continue relying on Watson going forward, making him an interesting choice for fantasy football waiver wire pickups in Week 11.

The Green Bay Packers play on Thursday night against the Tennessee Titans. This is a matchup Christian Watson could certainly take advantage of, so you will want him on your team before then. Whether or not you start him could certainly be debated, but if you have a spot on your bench to pick him up, this is a no-brainer move.
