Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em: Week 4 RBs
Start: Josh Jacobs Fantasy Outlook at Chargers
Last season, Josh Jacobs was the fantasy football RB3. However, a bad start to the season has him ranked RB25. Many Josh Jacobs fantasy owners question if he should be started or not, but he is featured as a “start” in our Week 4 Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em article.
Despite the slow start, Jacobs has continued to get a heavy workload, totaling at least 20 touches in two of his three games. That heavy workload should continue this week since the Raiders have quarterback issues. He will be running against the Los Angeles Chargers, who have surrendered the most points to opposing fantasy football RBs this season. Lock him in!
Start: David Montgomery Fantasy Outlook at Packers
After missing last week’s game, it was announced that David Montgomery would indeed play tonight on Thursday Night Football against the Green Bay Packers. Even if he does see a couple of fewer carries, he is still a solid start against a Packer defense that notoriously struggles against the run, which is why Detroit has had so much success against them recently.
The Lions are going to run often tonight, and leading the charge will be David Montgomery, not Jahmyr Gibbs. Montgomery is the team’s early-down runner and he is also the short-yardage back. Since the Lions take a run-heavy approach in the red zone, there is a strong chance Montgomery gets a touchdown.
If you are a David Montgomery fantasy football owner, you can feel comfortable playing him as a RB2 or a Flex this week.

Sit: Brian Robinson Fantasy Outlook at Eagles
Brian Robinson has been a bright spot for the Washington Commanders early this season. However, despite running against a less-than-average Buffalo run defense last week, Robinson struggled for fantasy football since he doesn’t add much as a receiver and the Washington offense as a whole struggled to move the ball.
This week, he faces a tough Philadelphia defensive front who have surrendered the fewest fantasy points to opposing RBs. On top of that, the Eagles will likely be leading for the majority of the game, which will force the Commanders to pass for a bit more, hurting Robinson’s fantasy value. He is our first “sit” in this Week 4 Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em post.
Sit: Rachaad White Fantasy Outlook at Saints
It has been a real struggle for Rachaad White on the ground this season, as he has averaged only 3.1 yards per carry. This includes a tough game against the Eagles last week where he ran for only 38 yards on 14 carries, and White added only 24 receiving yards.
This week, Rachaad White fantasy football owners have another tough matchup against the New Orleans Saints, who surrender the eighth-fewest fantasy points to opposing RBs. White hasn’t been as effective in the receiving game as we had hoped so far, and it looks like another game where Tampa will struggle to run the ball.
Check out the fantasy football rankings, since you may have a better option.
