Tight ends continue to be one of the more difficult positions to figure out in fantasy football. This has led to many fantasy owners looking to fantasy TE streamers or Week 4 fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em help at tight end.

Obviously, there are some players who are must-start every single week due to where you drafted them, such as TJ Hockenson, Mark Andrews and Travis Kelce. However, after the top couple of tiers at the tight end position, you may be playing the matchup more than the player himself. To help you through these tough decisions, check out our weekly fantasy football rankings and read on for our Week 4 fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em analysis at TE.

Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em: Week 4 TEs

Start: Taysom Hill Fantasy Outlook vs Buccaneers

Last week, New Orleans Saints starting quarterback Derek Carr injured his shoulder. This will keep him out this week, leading to Jameis Winston starting against his former team. However, he is not the only player who will be taking snaps. The Saints have offensive packages with Taysom Hill at quarterback and it makes sense for this specific role to grow with Carr out.

For our fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em decisions at the TE position in particular, we are looking for players who will touch the ball ahead of anything else since targets for the position can be inconsistent. The fact that Hill has a strong chance to take snaps means he has more guaranteed touches, which is a big plus. Another positive is that he is the team’s top short-yardage rusher, which could lead to a rushing touchdown.

Start: Luke Musgrave Fantasy Outlook vs Lions

Green Bay Packers rookie tight end Luke Musgrave is starting to heat up a bit. He is incredibly athletic and has great size, which makes him a great target for the inaccurate Jordan Love. Musgrave has also proven to be a capable blocker, meaning he can be an every-down player. This has led to him playing at least 86% of the snaps in back-to-back weeks.

Last week, Musgrave had a six-catch, 49-yard performance. His day would have been much better if Love could have put the ball on him a couple of times when he was wide open. Luke Musgrave fantasy football owners can feel comfortable starting him on Thursday Night Football this week.

Sit: Pat Freiermuth Fantasy Outlook at Texans

Pat Freiermuth has been mentioned in this fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em series multiple times. Last week, Freiermuth was bailed out with a touchdown. However, that doesn’t change the fact that he has a low usage on a bad offense.

Through three games, Freiermuth has five receptions for 46 yards, and 41 of these yards came in one game. Without a touchdown, Pat Freiermuth has little fantasy football value. While he is droppable, Freiermuth is better left on benches until this offense improves.

Sit: David Njoku Fantasy Outlook vs Ravens

It has been a tough start to the season for David Njoku. Through three weeks, he has 11 targets to his name. This has resulted in a TE28 ranking in PPR scoring. Yet, he is still highly owned and in many starting lineups.

This week, Njoku faces off with the Baltimore Ravens. Baltimore has surrendered the second-fewest fantasy points to tight ends this season. The terrible matchup, combined with his terrible start to the season, means David Njoku fantasy football owners should bench him.

Check my fantasy football rankings, since you may have a better option, such as the two “starts” in this fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em article.
