Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em: Week 11 QBs

Start: Daniel Jones Fantasy Outlook vs. Lions

At points this season, this QB Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em article might just be renamed “Who to Start Against the Lions.” This week’s lucky benefactor of a matchup with the Lions is none other than Daniel Jones. You know the drill — get your QB in the lineup against the Lions, as they are dead last in the league allowing 23.7 fantasy points per game (fppg) to opposing QBs. Fresh off allowing Justin Fields to throw for 167 yards and two touchdowns and run for another 147 yards and two touchdowns, the Lions are easy pickings for Danny Dimes.

Get him in your lineup this week. It doesn’t get any easier than this matchup.

Start: Aaron Rodgers Fantasy Outlook vs. Titans

After posting his best fantasy game of the season last week against the Dallas Cowboys, putting up 224 yards and his first three-touchdown game of the season, Aaron Rodgers is a start this week in a much easier matchup. The Tennessee Titans have given up 20.2 fppg to opposing QBs on the season, which is the fourth-highest in the league. They only allow 16.5 fppg to opposing RBs (fourth-lowest). All this is to say that the way to beat the Titans is through the air.

Look for Aaron Rodgers to air it out closer to his season average of 33.7 times in this matchup and, with his newfound favorite target, he will be a QB1 this week again.

Sit: Derek Carr Fantasy Outlook vs. Broncos

Despite coming off back-to-back solid fantasy performances, with 259 yards passing and two touchdowns for 18.4 fantasy points and 248 yards passing and two touchdowns for 17.9 fantasy points, Derek Carr is still hard to trust. A 2.9-fantasy point game will tend to make people leery to get him back in their lineups. With the Denver Broncos, who only allow 10.8 fppg to opposing QBs on tap, you are right to not trust him.

The first time these teams played back in Week 4, Carr only put up 11.5 fantasy points on 188 yards passing and 40 yards rushing with no touchdowns. Leave him on the bench.

Sit: Matt Ryan Fantasy Outlook vs. Eagles

With Jeff Saturday taking over as the head coach of the Indianapolis Colts, he promptly made the decision to start Matt Ryan last Sunday. He was promptly rewarded for his decision, as Ryan put up QB5 numbers for the week, with 222 yards passing and a touchdown and his best rushing yardage of the season, with 39 and another touchdown. Now, betting on Ryan to put up 9.9 fantasy points on the ground in any game is not a smart play. Matty Ice actually refers to his cool demeanor and his glacially slow speed.

This week especially is not the week to look for a repeat. He has to face the Philadelphia Eagles, who are giving up 10.9 fppg to opposing QBs. Even with four teams on bye, Ryan is not a start option in our fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em.
