When is the 2025 NFL Draft?
The 2025 NFL Draft kicks off on Thursday, April 24, beginning at 8 p.m. ET. The draft will take place in Green Bay, WI, which brings plenty of potential challenges. Only Round 1 will take place on Thursday. Rounds 2-3 will take place on April 25th, with the remaining four rounds wrapping up on Sunday, April 26th. There will be 257 players selected across the seven rounds, with many more getting phone calls immediately afterward.

Strengths
Dylan Sampson is at his best after one cut. When making the cut, Sampson’s feet really get going, and he speeds up quickly. Those cuts that he makes speak volumes to his footwork and balance. Using that footwork and balance, Sampson has great patience when pressing the line. When hitting holes on inside run plays, Sampson makes defenders miss with a cut while controlling the running lanes. Using his low center of balance, Sampson has used a spin move in his college career to beat defenders. That smaller frame has also allowed Sampson to be very effective in short-yardage situations.
Weaknesses
Even though he has shown great talent on inside run plays, Sampson’s outside-running ability leaves much to be desired. While Sampson has shown the ability to take a big workload in the run game, he was used sparingly in the pass game. He only totaled 40 receptions for 342 in the pass game in his Tennessee career.
