Christian Braun Draft Profile
Strengths
A three-year player at Kansas, Christian Braun has played in many big moments and games, including a national championship. Braun is a skilled wing player who does a great job of stretching the defense. He takes good shots in rhythm when the offense gets going. Braun gets his feet set and knocks down spot-up three-point shots.
Along with shooting, Braun has shown effectiveness at finishing in the paint. He works inside to snag rebounds on both sides of the ball. Defensively, Braun has experience switching onto all types of players, as Kansas’ switch-heavy defense helped to lead them to a championship.
Weaknesses
Braun does a little bit of everything well, but he is not spectacular at anything. He should provide a team with a high-floor, low-ceiling player. Braun may sometimes pass up open shots if the offense gets flowing. Developing a mid-range shot or floater would help Braun carve out more of a role in the league. Playing defense inside may also be a slight problem, as he does not possess an incredible wingspan to disrupt passes and shots.
