The Los Angeles Chargers agree to a three-year, $21M deal with former Steelers guard Matt Feiler in NFL Free Agency.

Chargers Offensive Line Gets Boost in Free Agency With Matt Feiler

General manager Tom Telesco continues to reshape the Chargers offensive line. Earlier today, the Bolts signed center Corey Linsley to a five-year deal to anchor the offensive line. Feiler can play any position on the line, but is expected to remain at left guard in 2021. This sign is a huge boost for the offense and especially for quarterback Justin Herbert.

The former Steeler started 13 games for Pittsburgh last season. He allowed two sacks and committed only two penalties. Feiler also ended 2020 with the fewest pressures allowed by a guard (16). He is 6-foot-6, over 300 pounds and should be a staple to this newly revamped Chargers offensive line.

Feiler is the second new addition for the Chargers and the second offensive lineman so far this free agency. There are still holes to fill on the line, as the Bolts released right guard Trai Turner last week. The left tackle and right guard positions are still huge priorities for the Chargers heading into the 2021 season.
