Carnell Tate Scouting Report
Strengths
Carnell Tate is a rare receiver in the fact that he can track balls extremely well at full speed down the field, while also being incredibly skilled at making contested catches in the air. He wins the average 50-50 ball more times than not and has really good hands, as seen in his zero total drops this past season. Despite Tate’s Combine performance, he has good game speed, along with possessing good body control that gives him the ability to come down with poorly thrown balls.
Weaknesses
There aren’t a whole lot of weaknesses in Carnell Tate’s game, which is why he’s such a highly sought-after prospect. While he doesn’t have the perfect frame or body type to be a WR1 and can sometimes be jammed at the line by longer corners, those are pretty much the only areas of improvement for Tate. While he did miss three games to a calf injury last year, it would be ridiculous to see that as anything other than a fluke injury.
