The Milwaukee Bucks find themselves in an unprecedented situation as far as the 2019-20 season is concerned. Coming off back-to-back losses for the first time all season, Milwaukee would typically look to their team leader, and MVP frontrunner, Giannis Antetokounmpo, to lead them to a bounce back victory. However, they will be without Giannis, due to an injury.
Giannis Antetokounmpo Injury
There is only one problem; for the first time all season the Greek Freak will miss multiple games in a row due to a sprained left knee. Giannis had an MRI over the weekend and everything seems like it will be fine in the long run. In the short term, however, things don’t get any easier for the Bucks, as they finish their road trip in Denver on the second night of a back-to-back.
The Nuggets will be extra motivated to steal a win from the league-leading Bucks, as this is their one and only home game snuck in amongst a stretch of five road games, including tough matchups against the Mavericks and Lakers.
They also come into this game with a fully healthy roster, which is a luxury not many teams have at this point in the season.
Bucks Will Be Fine
What does the Giannis Antetokounmpo injury mean for the Bucks faithful? Honestly, not much. There is no need to stock up on toilet paper and bottled water. Fans should let it slide off their backs. Middleton continues to impress and Bledsoe is coming off his best game in a couple of weeks (28 pts, 3 reb, 7 ast).
Even if they lose all three on this quick road trip out west, they will still hold a seven game lead over the Raptors with 17 games left to play.
Despite the losses and the recent Giannis Antetokounmpo injury, life is good in the Deer District.
