Aiyuk was the 6th receiver taken in the 2020 draft that had more depth at receiver than any other position. An NFL Draft record 13 receivers were taken in the first two rounds, eclipsing the past record of 12 in 2014. As always, there will be some misses with first round receivers, but Aiyuk fell to the perfect team.

Led by third year head coach Kyle Shanahan, the 49ers ranked 4th in total offense in 2019. In addition, Jimmy Garoppolo was able to finish his first full season as a starting quarterback throwing for 3,978 yards and 27 TD’s.
