Best NBA Betting Player Props for Tonight, 3/7

Gabe Vincent Over 9.5 Points (-115)
Backup Miami Heat point guard Gabe Vincent has picked things up in a big way offensively of late. As a result, it makes sense to look over the NBA player props line of 9.5 for tonight’s game. The pride of UC Santa Barbara, Vincent has scored in double figures in four of the last five games while filling in for injured starter, Kyle Lowry. The stretch includes a pair of 20-point performances and has featured the 25-year-old knocking down at least four three-pointers on three separate occasions.
It makes sense that an uptick in playing time would lead to more scoring production. However, Vincent has also benefitted from having a hot hand. While Monday’s NBA betting scoring total for Vincent is right in line with his season average, one can safely assume that he will continue to exceed that mark so long as Lowry remains out.
The other key factor worth noting here is tonight’s opponent. Bettors can operate under the assumption that all Heat scorers will benefit from playing against the Houston Rockets. Coming into the day, Houston ranks dead last in defensive efficiency allowing a whopping 114.2 points per 100 possessions.

Josh Hart Under 7.5 Rebounds (-127)
Things just keep getting worse for the Portland Trail Blazers. Neither Damian Lillard nor Jusuf Nurkic is expected back on the court anytime soon. On top of those losses, the Blazers will also be without Anfernee Simons on Monday night. This leaves Josh Hart, who came over from New Orleans in the C.J. McCollum trade prior to the deadline, as really the only healthy player in tonight’s lineup who would be starting for the majority of teams.
As a result of the ugly lineup situation, NBA player props oddsmakers have beefed up Hart’s totals for tonight’s contest. Despite only averaging 5.2 rebounds per game this season, Hart’s NBA props line is set at 7.5 today.
While Hart has played at least 27 minutes in five of six games since joining the Trail Blazers, he has failed to eclipse seven total rebounds in any of those outings. One could also argue that the absence of Simons will lead to Hart spending more time in the backcourt handling the ball as opposed to crashing the boards.

Julius Randle Over 5.5 Assists (-102)
Just before the All-Star break, Julius Randle put together an incredible run as a playmaker. He exceeded his per-game average of 5.2 assists in four straight outings going into the break, then did so again in each of the New York Knicks’ first two games on the back end. While Randle has failed to distribute more than four helpers in any of the last three games, the opposition undoubtedly played a role.
Each of the Knicks’ last three opponents rank among the top-10 in the NBA in defensive efficiency this season. The same cannot be said for tonight’s opponent, the Sacramento Kings. Coming into Monday, the Kings have allowed an average of 112.2 points per 100 possessions, the third-most in the league. A more favorable matchup raises the level of intrigue on playing Randle to exceed the NBA player props threshold of 5.5 assists.
In addition to the promising matchup, it’s also important to consider the current Knicks personnel situation for this NBA picks option. With Kemba Walker out for the rest of the season and Derrick Rose still sidelined with an injury, the backcourt play is very shaky at present. As a result, a versatile big like Randle should continue to have more opportunities to assist teammates.
