Week 15 of the college football season is typically reserved for what is arguably the biggest game of the year between Army and Navy. With 2020 being a not-so-typical year, the service academies are joined by a host of other games on the Week 15 slate. But hey, that just means more opportunities for us to hit some college football picks winners! Here are my three best bets for Week 15.

Last Week: 2-2
Season Record: 19-21

Utah vs Colorado

Colorado has been one of the college football picks surprises of this shortened Pac-12 season. Widely considered to be a candidate for the conference’s cellar, the Buffaloes haven’t lost yet. At 4-0, CU jumped into the College Football Playoff Top 25 rankings this week, a remarkable accomplishment in Karl Dorrell’s first season at the helm. But with the shiny new ranking next to their name, now is the perfect time to bet against the Buffaloes to trip up.

This year’s Utah team is far from the best that Kyle Whittingham has had, but they are coming off a nice win over Oregon State and now have a couple of games under their belt. Running back Ty Jordan is coming a monster 167-yard game and should find more real estate against a Colorado defense that surrenders 148 rushing yards per contest.

Utah vs Colorado College Football Picks

Despite the Buffaloes’ undefeated record, they are yet to blow anyone out and notably struggled to put away a horrendous Arizona team just last week. This line has also moved through pick’em after Colorado was originally a favorite. While plus-money value on a Utah outright win may be gone, I’m still plenty comfortable laying a point and a half as our college football picks bonus pick of the week.

College Football Picks: Utah -1.5

Georgia vs Missouri

First-year head coach Eli Drinkwitz is already putting his mark on the Missouri Tigers program. While there certainly is a long way to go, the Tigers have shown plenty of fight and resiliency on numerous occasions this season. They absorbed a late go-ahead touchdown from Arkansas last week only to drive down the field and kick a winning field goal as time expired. Running back Larry Rountree III is a stud and will be difficult for even the sturdy Georgia defense to contain over a full four quarters.

Georgia enters this week off a bye and sits at No. 8 in the latest edition of the College Football Playoff Rankings. The motivation of Kirby Smart’s team has been called into question by many college football picks experts given that they are out of the running for the Playoff. The Bulldogs dismantled South Carolina in their last game, highlighted by a quarterback switch to JT Daniels. He played well and threw for a pair of touchdowns. While Missouri has surrendered plenty of points at times this season, you’ve got to like their chances of slowing Georgia down a bit more than South Carolina’s.

Missouri will have plenty of motivation to prove a point against one of the SEC’s highly regarded programs. The high noon kickoff could perhaps lend to a slow start for the Bulldogs as well. I like the tigers to make a game of it and stay within two touchdowns.

College Football Picks: Missouri +13.5

San Diego State vs BYU

BYU rushed to schedule Coastal Carolina on just two days’ notice last week in what was truly a treat for any college football fan who managed to catch the game live. The Cougars got a bit more than they bargained for in the Chanticleers’ “Black Swarm” defense and unique option offense. With their Playoff hopes confirmed over, and likely any shot at a New Year’s Six bowl bid as well, BYU will attempt to pick up the pieces back home this week against San Diego State. We know how good Zach Wilson and BYU can be, but you have to question how the team will rebound from last week’s crushing defeat when considering college football picks.

Meanwhile, this SDSU team is no slouch in its own right. Brady Hoke’s Aztecs enter Saturday’s game allowing the third-fewest yards per game (269.6) and the seventh-fewest points (16.3) in all of FBS. While the defense is their heart and soul, San Diego State’s rushing attack is no slouch either. Dual-threat quarterback Jordon Brookshire and backs Greg Bell and Jordan Byrd will get their crack at a Cougars defense that was visibly worn down by Coastal Carolina’s run-heavy offense last week.

San Diego State vs BYU College Football Picks

BYU is the deeper and more talented team in this matchup but asking them to cover such a large spread is a tall order. San Diego State’s defense is plenty good enough to keep them in the game, and the Aztecs’ run-heavy approach on offense could assist in keeping Wilson off the field as well. We’ll wrap up our Week 15 college football picks by taking underdog Aztecs to cover in this late-night showdown.

College Football Picks: San Diego State +17
