NFL Playoff Picture | NFC Playoff Standings
The NFC Playoff Picture has a bunch of moving parts, with several teams still legitimately in the mix to make the postseason. While the route to the playoff is through winning the division for some teams, the Detroit Lions are a team who does still have a chance to make the playoffs through the Wild Card or winnings the division.
Atop the NFC is the Los Angeles Rams, at 11-3. However, things get crazier from there. The Chicago Bears are second, at 10-4, while the Green Bay Packers are 9-4-1. They play each other this week, and this will have major playoff implications. At a comfortable third seed, the Philadelphia Eagles are 9-5 and have a big lead in the NFC East. The fourth seed, however, is fully up in the air. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers currently have it (7-7), but the Carolina Panthers have the same record and are hoping to steal the NFC South.
The other two NFC Wild Card teams come from the NFC West. The Seattle Seahawks have no worries, sitting at 11-3. The San Francisco 49ers have a 10-4 record, and they would clinch a playoff berth with another win.

If Chicago splits the next two games while Detroit wins theirs, then their Week 18 matchup against each other could be for a playoff spot.
This weekend, the NFL’s oldest rivarly will take the stage once again, with the Packers traveling to the Bears. The winner of this game will have a major leg up in the division, and winning the division means hosting a playoff game. Clearly, a playoff game in Chicago would be a great advantage to have.

Can the Bears make the playoffs? Absolutely, yes! In fact, if the postseason started today, they would be in!
Of all the teams in the NFC North competing for a playoff spot, the Chicago Bears’ schedule is the toughest. This week, they will face off against the Green Bay Packers on Saturday night. In Week 17, the Bears take the road to face the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday Night Football.
If they win those two games, the only worry left will be seeding. However, if the Bears lose one of those two games, the Week 18 matchup against the Detroit Lions could be a “win and you’re in” scenario.
