The Paris Olympic bid committee is thinking about including eSports in the 2024 games for medals, according to Tony Estanguet, the committee’s co-president. Estanguet told the Associated Press that talks have been scheduled with the International Olympic Committee and with eSports representatives “to better understand how eSports would fit in with the Olympic games and why it is such a success.” Estanguet also had some thoughts for esports skeptics out there: “We have to look at it because we can’t say, ‘It’s not us. The first seven teams and owners for the Overwatch league were announced by Blizzard today. The list of owners includes Robert Kraft, owner of the 5-time NFL Superbowl champion New England Patriots. Kraft recently bought the rights for a Boston-based Overwatch team. X Games announced Wednesday they will host a $75,000 FACEIT Rocket League tournament next month in Minneapolis as part of the arts and entertainment side of the event, called X Fest. The X Games Rocket League Invitational will run from  July 14-16 and will be streamed live on ESPN3.
