Arizona State vs Nevada Prediction | March Madness Expert Picks and Bracketology

It’s no secret that quality guard play is a must in the NCAA Tournament, and both teams in this First Four matchup are backcourt driven. Arizona State is led by the tandem of Desmond Cambridge Jr. and DJ Horne. Meanwhile, Nevada touts a pair of fifth-year seniors, Jarod Lucas and Kenan Blackshear, both of whom began their college basketball careers elsewhere before transferring into the program.

The Sun Devils were able to solidify their place in the March Madness field by winning a pair of games in the Pac-12 Tournament. The size of Arizona proved to be too much to handle in the semifinals of the conference tournament. That said, the Nevada frontcourt that ASU will encounter in the First Four is nowhere near as talented.

Despite the fact that neither team plays at an overwhelming pace, there’s a solid case to be made for betting the Over. The Wolf Pack come in on a three-game losing streak that saw them allow 80, 69 and 81 points to three Mountain West opponents who are on par or worse than Arizona State offensively.

As seen in the Sun Devils’ Pac-12 Tournament matchup against USC, when the three-pointers are falling, they are more than capable of putting up points. Turnovers could also lead to ample opportunity to score in transition for both sides. With so many talented guards on the floor, there’s a real chance for some tremendous shot-making in this game.

Our official college basketball betting Arizona State vs Nevada prediction will be OVER 133.5 at BetUS

For what it’s worth, the ESPN Matchup Predictor gives Arizona State a 50.6% chance to win this game outright.

Bet: OVER 133.5 (-110 at BetUS Sportsbook)
