As we enter the fourth week of the NFL season, you may have drafted with the strategy of streamers at the fantasy football TE position. This has been a common strategy for many years. There is also a chance you suffered an injury at the position already, with a player like George Kittle getting banged up. So, if you don’t have an elite option to lock in for Week 4, you may be looking to stream your tight end in order to get a win this week.
Using information that we learned last week, we can get an idea of which tight ends owned in under 60% of ESPN fantasy leagues have the best matchups to be included among our Week 4 TE fantasy football streamers! When you’re done, check out our Week 4 fantasy football rankings!

Chig Okonkwo vs Houston Texans (16.8%)
As the season has progressed, Chig Okonkwo has continued to get better. He scored a season-best 9.1 points in 1/2 ppr scoring formats last week against the Colts. Over the last two weeks, Okonkwo has totaled 101 receiving yards on nine receptions. Okonkwo will continue to see an upward trend this week against a Houston Texans team that gave up nine catches to the tight end position in Jacksonville last week.
While there certainly have been more downs than ups for Cam Ward through his first three games of the season, what he has working for him is Okonkwo. The big tight end is a great safety blanket in the middle of the field, and he should continue to be relied upon for Ward to continue to progress in his rookie season.

Brenton Strange vs San Francisco 49ers (21.8%)
With the struggles of Trevor Lawrence over the first couple of weeks of the season, I think there are still opportunities in this offense. Brian Thomas Jr. is not playing well, and Travis Hunter is basically droppable at this point in the season, so who is going to be the pass catcher? Brenton Strange. Last week, against a good Houston Texans defense, Strange certainly looked like Lawrence’s go-to guy. He brought in six receptions on a total of seven targets.
Strange has yet to find the end zone, but he certainly has the matchup to do it this week. The 49ers have given up 115 yards to opposing tight ends this season, including giving up a touchdown in each of the past two weeks.
Jake Tonges vs Jacksonville Jaguars (2.6%)
Last week, Jake Tonges was not as involved as I thought he would be, but my initial point about him from last week stands. When a starting player goes down with an injury, the most reasonable player to fill that spot is that player’s backup. With George Kittle on IR, Tonges continues to top the depth chart at the tight end position for the 49ers. While Tonges is not Kittle, the 49ers have to run the football to be effective, and with that, we know a tight end is going to be on the field to block, so Tonges not being on the field is not a worry to me.
This week, he gets a matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars have given up 115 yards on 20 receptions to tight ends this season. What makes it even more enticing is that if there are issues with Mac Jones or if we see Adrian Martinez in this game, you would have to believe a safety blanket of a big tight end in the middle of the field will be used.
