Taking a look at the most consistent fantasy football running backs to draft this season, including the Baltimore Ravens’ RB, Derrick Henry!
When it comes to the fantasy football RBs, there is certainly an upper tier. Consistency is key when it comes to filling out a championship-winning starting lineup. One other thing that a lot of people strive for is two solid starting running backs.
Looking at the consistency rankings, we are looking at the running backs last season with the most weeks scoring a top-24 finish. If certain players are tied with weeks above a top-24 finish, then looking at the players who had fewer weeks with lower scores than RB37 breaks it. This data can be found in our award-winning draft kit below!
Most Consistent Fantasy Football RBs | Consistency Fantasy Football Rankings
Jahmyr Gibbs – Detroit Lions
Since he arrived to the NFL, Jahmyr Gibbs has been one of the most explosive and electrifying players in the game. He improved upon his rookie performance with a 1400-yard, 16-touchdown performance last season. Those numbers set Gibbs up as the best running back in fantasy football when it came to consistency. He finished as a top-24 running back every week last season.
What makes those numbers more impressive is that they came in a shared backfield with David Montgomery. While the Lions put together a historic scoring performance in 2024, it is hard to think that Gibbs will not stay as, if not more, involved in this rushing attack. Gibbs’ ability to work in the red zone (13 touchdowns in the red zone last season), partnered with his ability to catch passes, works well with Detroit’s offensive line to put together another strong season this year.

Derrick Henry – Baltimore Ravens
In his first season in Baltimore, Derrick Henry more than impressed with his seemingly ageless power and speed running. In his age-30 season, Henry showed no signs of slowing down, as he finished the season with 1,921 rushing yards and 16 rushing touchdowns. Those numbers become even more impressive when you realize that Lamar Jackson put together a 915-yard rushing season as well. Henry’s numbers last year gave him 14 top 24 performances at the running back position.
This year should be much of the same for the Baltimore Ravens, as they enter this season as one of the few contenders for a Super Bowl. The Ravens have shown that they will run the ball as much as possible when given the opportunities. While Henry might be on the wrong side of 30, he has shown no signs of slowing down, and as a future Hall-of-Fame, I am going to keep riding him until it does not work. Having Henry as the workhorse also helps Jackson use his legs to do what he does so well.
Kyren Williams – Los Angeles Rams
When looking at the running backs who put together the most top-24 performances last season, I was surprised to see Kyren Williams ahead of players like Bijan Robinson and Saquon Barkley. Williams continued to fill that workhorse back in the Sean McVay offense perfectly. Last season, Williams recorded 1,299 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns, giving him 14 top-24 finishes.
This season will be an interesting look for the Rams’ run game and Williams in general. He has shown great prowess for that single back offense, scoring 31 touchdowns in the past two seasons. After just resigning with the Rams, Williams’ status as the top dog in LA should not be questioned, with Blake Corum and Jarquez Hunter in town. With Davante Adams in LA, running lanes should be a little more open for Williams to continue his strong career start with the Rams.
