Fantasy Football RB Rankings Week 9
Hopefully, these fantasy football rankings help to get you the win this week! With creating the best fantasy rankings, editing/writing articles, making videos, and then working another job, we are fueled by pure caffeine this season! If you would like to support the cause by buying me a coffee, I would appreciate it!
Kyren Williams has been a monster this season, ranking RB5 in PPR scoring despite being on a losing team more often than not. He leads the league in rushing touchdowns inside the five-yard line, at 7. With 37 carries and five targets inside the red zone, it’s clear Williams is involved when the Rams are in scoring position. He faces a Seahawks team that allows the fifth-most yards per carry (4.9) and sixth-most average RB fantasy points this season.
David Montgomery wakes up angry when he faces the Green Bay Packers. In PPR scoring, Montgomery has totaled 13+ fantasy points in seven straight games against Green Bay, dating back to 2020. This includes over 200 total yards and four touchdowns in his two games last season.
De’Von Achane has faced the Buffalo Bills three times in his young career. He has scored in all three games, totaling 253 rushing yards, 11 receptions for 93 yards, and four total touchdowns. The Bills have given up the sixth-most yards per carry this season (4.8) and the second-most fantasy points per game to the RB position. This also makes Raheem Mostert a flex play with upside in fantasy football Week 9.
Josh Jacobs has been a volume rusher this season. He leads the league in carries (145) while ranking fourth in rushing yards (667). Jacobs also has 20 red zone carries but only two red zone rushing touchdowns. He plays a Detroit Lions team that allows the second-fewest fantasy points allowed to RBs. His value, however, rises if Malik Willis is QB for the Packers this weekend.
Derrick Henry has been terrific this season, but expectations for fantasy football Week 9 should be tempered. The Denver Broncos are tied for the fourth-fewest yards per carry allowed (4.0). While Denver has been good against the run, they have given up the fifth-most receptions to running backs. Henry has, however, scored 11 touchdowns in eight games.
