The trades across the NFL have been as fun as ever. This past week, another big-name wide receiver was traded, with DeAndre Hopkins headed to the Kansas City Chiefs. Now, Hopkins, Amari Cooper and Davante Adams have all been traded, and these moves undoubtedly affect our NFL Power Rankings.
Now, more wide receivers are about to be on the move. Diontae Johnson and Mike Williams are just two of the names expected to switch teams soon. And once they do, we may see teams rise or fall further in our rankings.
Our weekly NFL Power Rankings will be released here on FlurrySports every Tuesday, so make sure to check them out every single week to see which direction your team is trending.
NFL Power Rankings For Week 9
1) Kansas City Chiefs (Last Week: 1)
It was a competitive game, but the Kansas City Chiefs remain unbeaten. They also recently traded for DeAndre Hopkins. We know this move will pay off big time when they need it most. Overall, this is still a team that leans on its defense, but we will know the offense will get better. There’s no doubt they are the top team in the Week 9 NFL Power Rankings.
2) Detroit Lions (3)
The Detroit Lions managed to score 52 points while passing for only 61 yards. It was a dominating performance in all three phases of the game. There is no doubt that the best team in the NFL today is the Lions, but these power rankings also consider where the team is headed. Detroit’s future is still bright, but we cannot put them over the undefeated back-to-back champs.
3) Baltimore Ravens (2)
The Baltimore Ravens ran into a buzzsaw named Jameis Winston. After this pre-game interview, there was zero chance he was losing. In all seriousness, we know the Ravens are one of the best teams in the NFL, and their offense is essentially unstoppable when they are playing with a lead. However, the Ravens’ pass defense is a major issue. Their injuries don’t help, but they need to make some changes as well.
4) San Francisco 49ers (6)
The San Francisco 49ers finally get to enjoy a much-needed bye week. We will see if they make a trade for a wide receiver during the bye since they lost Brandon Aiyuk for the season. However, the good news for the Niners is that they are expected to get Christian McCaffrey back next week. We will see…
5) Philadelphia Eagles (7)
The Philadelphia Eagles completely dominated the Cincinnati Bengals, and this team looks to be starting to find a groove. While their fans will boo them if they don’t get a first down at any point next week, this is a good team and they probably should be considered favorites in the NFC East still (even though Jayden Daniels is a fun story).

6) Houston Texans (5)
The Houston Texans are slowly sliding down our NFL Power Rankings. This offensive line has a problem in pass protection, and you know this will be blatantly obvious in the playoffs. Also, the team will now be without Stefon Diggs for an unspecified amount of time. They should get Nico Collins back soon, but losing Diggs is a big deal.
7) Buffalo Bills (8)
Speaking of dominating their opponent, the Buffalo Bills traveled across the country to win 31-10 in Seattle. This offense now has a balanced attack, and the defense has good enough players to force mistakes. The Bills are the clear favorites in their division, but that isn’t saying much.
8) Pittsburgh Steelers (9)
The offense didn’t really show up against the Giants on Monday, but that game proved that this team simply needed a quarterback who protected the ball. Pittsburgh’s defense and special teams are good enough to win a lot of games, and now they have an offense that is at least competent.
9) Atlanta Falcons (10)
As stated previously, the Atlanta Falcons need to trade for someone who can generate a pass rush. If they do, this is a team that can be a true threat in the NFC. There is no doubt that the offense has enough firepower to compete with anyone, so watch out for Atlanta.
10) Minnesota Vikings (4)
It may seem like an overreaction to drop the Minnesota Vikings all of the way down to 10 in the NFL Power Rankings. However, the loss of Christian Darrisaw is massive. He is one of the best offensive tackles in the NFL, the Vikings don’t have much depth anywhere, and we know how Sam Darnold reacts to pressure. This team is in trouble.
