Gonzaga vs Grand Canyon Prediction | March Madness Expert Picks and Bracketology

The total for this matchup has been steadily rising, and the offensive prowess of both teams certainly supports the line move. Gonzaga tops KenPom’s adjusted offensive efficiency rankings and leads the nation in scoring (86.5 points per game) this season. With Drew Timme drawing so much defensive attention in the post, it’s easy to overlook the fact that Gonzaga also ranks 11th nationally in 3-point shooting percentage.

Although this year’s version of the Bulldogs does not play quite as fast as the teams of recent memory, they still rank top 50 in adjusted tempo. On the flip side, Grand Canyon actually ranks in the bottom half of college basketball when it comes to pace. That said, the Antelopes are extremely efficient at the offensive end, and a 38.34% clip from 3-point range is a big reason why. In fact, GCU has been the best Over team in the country this season with more than 75% of their games surpassing the betting total!

Despite losing star guard Jovan Blacksher Jr. to a season-ending injury, Grand Canyon has continued to thrive offensively. Rayshon Harrison proved in the WAC Tournament that he is capable of taking over a game. Forwards Gabe McClothan and Noah Baumann are lethal from beyond the arc which only helps open up driving lanes for Harrison.

When it comes to national championship contenders, Gonzaga is very average at the defensive end. While one has to believe that the Antelopes will get theirs offensively, it’s next to impossible to see them having answers for the Bulldogs’ attack. Any added attention paid to Timme will simply provide NBA Draft prospect, Julian Strawther with favorable situations.

Our official college basketball betting Gonzaga vs Grand Canyon prediction will be OVER 156 at BetUS.

For what it’s worth, the ESPN Matchup Predictor gives Gonzaga an 87.8% chance to win.

Bet: OVER 156 (-110 at BetUS Sportsbook)
