With one week of the season in our rear-view mirror, let us set our sights on setting the best possible lineup for fantasy football Week 2. If you have Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes or Lamar Jackson, you know what to do. If you don’t and have to make a tough choice, this is the place to be for those tough fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em decisions in single QB leagues.

Welcome to our weekly fantasy football QB start ’em, sit ’em!

Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em: Week 2 QBs

Start: Aaron Rodgers vs. Bears

Last season, Aaron Rodgers started off the year with a Week 1 dud. It was a 133-yard, two interception game for 3.3 fantasy points prior to putting together yet another MVP season. This season, after a tough Week 1 where he had 195 yards passing and an interception for 4.7 fantasy points, he gets the Chicago Bears in Week 2. Over his last four games against the Bears, Rodgers has put up 14 touchdowns to zero interceptions and has averaged 28.8 fantasy points per game (fppg). He has put up no less than 25.7 fantasy points.

Aaron Rodgers is our first “start” in our Week 2 fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em article.

Start: Matthew Stafford vs. Falcons

Last week, Matthew Stafford made this fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em article as a sit against the Buffalo Bills. As predicted, he struggled. This week, however, look for Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams to bounce back against a much easier opponent in the Atlanta Falcons who just gave up 21.7 fantasy points to Jameis Winston in Week 1. Get him in your lineup this week. Look for him to hit Cooper Kupp early and often and get Allen Robinson more involved as well.

Sit: Tua Tagovailoa vs. Ravens

Last week, Tua Tagovailoa passed for 270 yards and one touchdown with a fumble lost on his way to 14.8 fantasy points against the Patriots. This week, he has a matchup against the Ravens, who gave up 15.3 fantasy points to Joe Flacco last week. Tagovailoa doesn’t add much on the ground and doesn’t have the passing upside to finish as a QB1, having only surpassed 300 yards three times in his career. He belongs on your bench until he proves otherwise.

Sit: Ryan Tannehill vs. Bills

Looking over the top 12 QBs after Week 1, which includes the obvious, and not so obvious, here is looking at you Marcus Mariota, the least likely to finish as a QB1 this week is Ryan Tannehill. Having passed for 266 yards and two touchdowns last week, he now gets the Bills. Having lost A.J. Brown over the offseason and being in a run-first offense, the Bills defense will be too much for Tannehill. Keep him on the bench.
