With Week 10 upon, us the fantasy regular season is in the final stretch run with many leagues starting their playoffs in five weeks. It is time to make that final push for playoff positioning and to help you with your lineup decisions for this week, you have come to the right place. This week, we have another four teams on bye: Bears, Bengals, Giants and Texans. This article is not here for the obvious plays, so if you have Davante Adams, Cooper Kupp, Tyreek Hill you know what to do. This article will look at fantasy football WRs on the fringe of WR2/Flex status to help you make the tough choices to win your matchups.

Fantasy Football Start or Sit: Week 10 WRs

Start: Robert Woods at 49ers

Team Name: Out of the Woods

After a slow start to the season Robert Woods has finished as a WR2 or better in four of his last five games. He has gone a bit under the radar with how dominant Cooper Kupp has been this season but he is actually the WR12 in PPR. This is more in recognition of how consistent Woods has been with only one game in single digit fantasy points this season and less about the matchup with the 49ers who have allowed 33.8 fantasy points per game (fppg) to opposing WRs which is slightly above league average. Keep starting Woods as a WR2 this week and beyond.

Start: Hunter Renfrow vs. Chiefs

Team Name: Big Buck Hunter

Hunter Renfrow has led the Raiders WRs in targets in every game but one this season and now with no Henry Ruggs on the team he is the clear number two in the offense behind TE Darren Waller. Last week he had 9 targets and caught 7 of them for 49 yards and a touchdown to finish as WR11. With this usage he has hit double digits in PPR in all but one game this season and this week he gets a matchup with the Chiefs. In a week with several top WRs on bye including Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, and Brandin Cooks this looks like a week where Renfrow is a solid WR2 option. Start him if you got him.

Sit: Courtland Sutton vs. Eagles

Team Name: Courtland by Marriott

Last week with Jerry Jeudy working back to full health Courtland Sutton was an afterthought in the offense with two targets, although the Broncos were up big on the Cowboys and running out the clock for most of the fourth quarter. However Jeudy had eight targets last week and looks to be Teddy Bridgewater’s favorite target. In the two games since Jeudy has returned Sutton has only put up 6 and 3.9 fantasy points. Now in addition to his decrease in usage he has a matchup with the Eagles who are limiting opposing WRs to only 29.3 fppg and you have a dangerously low floor. You may be in a spot where you have to start him but lean toward your other option if it is close.

Sit: All Jets WRs vs. Bills

Team Name: New England Clam Crowder

There is much to be bullish about the whole receiving corps for the Jets this week against the Bills who are allowing a league low 25.4 fppg to opposing WRs. Last week’s overall WR1 Elijah Moore turned his eight targets into seven receptions for 84 yards and two touchdowns but this matchup is tough and with Corey Davis coming back he may not see as many targets. Speaking of Davis he is coming off a hip injury and may not receive a full complement of snaps this week. Finally Jamison Crowder who is the slot receiver and offers a fairly stable floor in PPR is probably the safest of the start of the group if you have to but all three are more flex plays and not in WR2 consideration.
