Week 4 Survivor Picks | NFL Picks

If you are unaware what NFL survivor picks are, the basic concept is you make NFL picks throughout the season, but you can only pick a team once. Once you lose, you’re knocked out, so choose your Week 4 survivor picks wisely.

Last week, I went 1-2 on my picks, pushing my season record to 6-3. It is always interesting to see a tie on the NFL slate, making it that much harder to predict the upcoming games. To me, this week is a lot easier to predict than last week. With that being said, there are a good amount of teams that you may be able to knock out this week.

Lock of the Week | Week 4 Survivor Picks

Los Angeles Rams vs. New York Giants

This is the first week that I am not picking the team that is playing the Jets as my lock. On the flip side, I am picking against the other New York team, who may be just as bad as the Jets. The Rams are starting to look like what we saw two years ago, when they took the league by storm. Jared Goff is starting to look like what the Rams want him to be. Aaron Donald is still the best player in football and, against a weak Giants offensive line, I expect him to be in the backfield more times than Daniel Jones will complete passes.

Sean McVay will always develop schemes to confuse teams. The Giants also have to go across the country to play in LA. This is the easiest lock of the week for me, and I fully expect the Rams to beat the Giants by 20+ this week.

Denver Broncos vs. New York Jets

The Denver Broncos are not a good team by any means, but the New York Jets are horrible. This seems like a big Melvin Gordon game, with Phillip Lindsay being questionable. The Broncos are down a quarterback and an outside linebacker, but that shouldn’t disregard the fact that Sam Darnold is not a good NFL quarterback. If the Broncos can pound their run game, they should easily win this game. The Jets don’t have any offensive weapons, outside of a 37-year-old Frank Gore. This may be a snoozer of a game, but the Broncos should be able to run the ball better than the Jets, leading to a win on Thursday night.

    Minnesota Vikings vs. Houston Texans

As a Packer fan, it hurts me to pick the Minnesota Vikings to win a game. The Vikings are not a very good football team, but lucky for them, they play another bad team in Houston. With the emergence of Justin Jefferson, this may be a big week for the Minnesota offense. Look for Jefferson to be heavily involved in the Vikings offense as a spark plug to get the team going. This game seems like a “loser leaves town” game, in that both teams are in a must-win situation. I fully believe that Mike Zimmer will out-coach Bill O’Brien, leading them to a victory. Eric Kendricks should be shadowing Deshaun Watson all day, leading to the takeaway of the biggest offensive weapon for the Texans.

The Vikings need to win this game in order to stay alive in the NFC North, and they will most likely play at their full potential this week.
