It’s official: Dez Bryant is back in the NFL.

After an ugly exit from Dallas, filled with all the drama and trash-talking you would expect from a Dez Bryant situation, Dez agreed to a one-year deal with the New Orleans Saints on Wednesday morning.

    A Loaded Offense

Bryant has said he would wait for the right opportunity. After nine weeks of the NFL season, it’s tough to find a better opportunity than the one he landed. The Saints are fresh off their victory over the last unbeaten team, the Los Angeles Rams. New Orleans has featured one of the best offensive groups in the league thus far, and now they give Drew Brees yet another weapon.

The 6-3 Michael Thomas is coming off one of the best games of his career, in which he caught 12 passes for 211 yards and a touchdown. Out of the backfield, Alvin Kamara added another 116 offensive yards and three touchdowns. They still have the thunder to Kamara’s lightning, Mark Ingram, a reliable Ben Watson at tight end, one of the greatest ever to take snaps in Drew Brees, and now a hungry Dez Bryant will split out opposite of Thomas. With the terrific pass-blocking offensive line up front, this team has the potential of being one of the most efficient offenses in NFL history.

    A Fire in His Belly

Say what you want about Dez Bryant, but he is one of the most competitive guys you will find. When we last saw him, he was coming off the worst of his nine NFL seasons, catching 69 passes for 838 yards and just 6 touchdowns.

The Cowboys organization was quick to throw Dez under the bus with the way he acted during his time in Dallas, so Bryant will without a doubt look to change the narrative, playing alongside Drew Brees and the humble Michael Thomas.

In not-so-coincidental fashion, the Saints travel to Jerry World on November 29th, where they face the Cowboys in prime time. Mark your calendars, you won’t want to miss this one.
