Jadarian Price Fantasy Football Outlook After Seattle Seahawks Draft Pick

April 24, 2026

Fantasy NASCAR lineups for Talladega Superspeedway require a completely different approach than most races on the schedule. With the field running tightly packed together for much of the day, the usual emphasis on dominator points and lap leaders takes a back seat. Instead, survival and late-race positioning become the primary factors in determining success.

That does not mean building a lineup is purely a guessing game. While chaos is inevitable — and “The Big One” is always lurking — certain drivers consistently put themselves in position to capitalize when it matters most. Targeting those with strong drafting instincts, reliable track records on superspeedways and the ability to navigate the closing laps cleanly is the best way to construct a lineup capable of contending this weekend.

The nature of superspeedway racing also creates a prime opportunity to deploy less-utilized drivers, as the gap between top-tier names and the rest of the field is significantly reduced.

Let’s dive into a full NASCAR fantasy preview for the Jack Link’s 500. Below, we’ll share our recommended lineup picks, take a look at this week’s featured head-to-head matchups and more.

NASCAR Fantasy Scoring Overview

NASCAR Fantasy scoring remains straightforward. Drivers earn points based on their finishing position, stage results and race performance, mirroring the NASCAR points system with added bonuses for stage finishes and fastest laps.

Each driver can only be used ten times throughout the 36-race season, making lineup strategy a key factor when deciding when to deploy top options versus sleeper picks.

NASCAR Fantasy also includes four head-to-head matchups each week, with correct picks earning additional points.

Lineup Locks

Austin Cindric, No. 2 Team Penske Ford

There’s no leaving the best superspeedway driver of the Gen-7 era out of this week’s lineup. Austin Cindric is the defending winner of the spring race at Talladega and has added two more top-10 finishes over the last seven races here. Over the past two seasons, he ranks fifth in average driver rating, reinforcing his status as one of the most reliable options in this format.

Brad Keselowski, No. 6 RFK Racing Ford

With six career victories at Talladega, Brad Keselowski remains a must-play in NASCAR fantasy formats. While his last win here came in 2021, his results over the last six races include two runner-up finishes, along with fifth- and 10th-place runs. He also opened the season with a fifth-place finish in the Daytona 500, further showing he still has plenty left at drafting tracks.

Bubba Wallace, No. 23 23XI Racing Toyota

When it comes to drivers who excel at drafting tracks, Bubba Wallace fits the bill. He nearly found victory lane at Talladega last fall and extended that run into his third consecutive top-10 finish at the track. When factoring in his results at Daytona and Atlanta, Wallace has piled up nine top-10 finishes on drafting tracks since 2024.

Drivers to Avoid

Ross Chastain, No. 1 Trackhouse Racing Chevrolet

Desperate times can call for aggressive moves, and Ross Chastain is certainly capable of making things happen on drafting tracks. However, the overall form of the No. 1 team — and Trackhouse Racing as a whole — raises some concerns entering this weekend at Talladega. His recent results here have also been underwhelming, with a pair of 13th-place finishes standing as his best efforts over the last six races.

Chris Buescher, No. 17 RFK Racing Ford

While superspeedway racing is generally a strength for the Ford camp, Chris Buescher has struggled to translate that into results at Talladega. Across eight races in the Gen-7 car, he has finished 20th or worse six times. His stronger performances at Daytona further suggest that this track, in particular, may not be the best fit this week.

Sleepers to Consider

Noah Gragson, No. 4 Front Row Motorsports Ford

Superspeedways like Talladega are a playground for NASCAR fantasy sleepers, and Noah Gragson fits that mold well. He enters this weekend set to make his eighth Cup Series start at the track and has already shown upside with top-five finishes in two of the last four races here.

Daniel Suarez, No. 7 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet

Given his broader results during his time at Trackhouse, it’s easy to overlook Daniel Suarez’s success on drafting tracks. He captured a victory at Atlanta two years ago and has been quietly solid at Talladega, with three top-10 finishes and five results of 12th or better across the last seven races.

Erik Jones, No. 43 Legacy Motor Club Toyota

While his most recent Talladega finishes have been uneven, Erik Jones remains a strong sleeper option within the Toyota camp. He finished fifth here in the fall race two years ago and owns five top-10 results across his last nine starts at the track.

NASCAR Fantasy Driver Matchups and Predictions

The following are the four featured NASCAR Fantasy head-to-head matchups for this week, along with our predictions.

Daniel Suarez vs. Ryan Preece

This is a fun matchup and there’s an argument to be made that Preece has more upside as part of the Ford brigade. A near win in this race last spring shows as much. However, the same level of Talladega consistency that landed Suarez among our fantasy sleepers gives him the edge here.

Prediction: Daniel Suarez

Tyler Reddick vs. Ryan Blaney

Both drivers enter this weekend at Talladega as legitimate contenders based on the outright betting odds. Blaney’s three career wins here certainly stand out. Still, it’s difficult to go against Reddick given his dominant start to the 2026 season and continued strength on superspeedways.

Prediction: Tyler Reddick

Austin Cindric vs. Joey Logano

It’s a surprising stat, but Logano has yet to finish better than 16th at Talladega in the Gen-7 car era. With Cindric serving as a core piece of this week’s NASCAR fantasy lineup — and the defending winner of this race — he’s the clear choice in this Penske matchup.

Prediction: Austin Cindric

Bubba Wallace vs. Chris Buescher

Wallace’s consistency across NASCAR’s drafting tracks gives him the advantage in this pairing. While Buescher has produced strong results at Daytona, that success has not carried over to his Talladega stats in the same way.

Prediction: Bubba Wallace

NASCAR Fantasy 36 for 36 Selection

Each week, we conclude our NASCAR fantasy column with a 36 for 36 selection. For those unfamiliar, this is a separate contest from the standard format. Managers must select one driver for each race throughout the season, with that driver’s fantasy points contributing to their overall total.

The catch is that each driver can only be used once over the course of the season. Think of it as a blend between NASCAR fantasy scoring and an NFL survivor contest — without eliminations.

From a strategy standpoint, Talladega is not a track where we are looking to burn a top-tier driver in this contest format. With that in mind, Noah Gragson stands out as a strong option. Finishes of third and fourth in the spring race here over the last two seasons have quietly made ‘Dega one of his most productive tracks at the Cup Series level.

36 for 36 Pick: Noah Gragson
