Best Rookie Fantasy Football Team Names For 2026

Despite the Titans having a need at receiver, this was not a projection that was common in NFL mock drafts. Regardless, the Carnell Tate fantasy football outlook is a bit clearer now that he has his landing spot. Obviously, there is so much that can happen between now and the regular season. Still, teams are mostly set, and dynasty rookie drafts will kick off as soon as next week.

Below, we will take a look at the draft profile for the former Ohio State wide receiver. We will also give our instant takeaways about Carnell Tate’s fantasy value for both redraft and dynasty fantasy football leagues.

Carnell Tate Highlights

Carnell Tate Scouting Report

Strengths

Carnell Tate is a rare receiver in the fact that he can track balls extremely well at full speed down the field, while also being incredibly skilled at making contested catches in the air. He wins the average 50-50 ball more times than not and has really good hands, as seen in his zero total drops this past season.

Despite Tate’s Combine performance, he has good game speed, along with possessing good body control that gives him the ability to come down with poorly thrown balls.

Weaknesses

There aren’t a whole lot of weaknesses in Carnell Tate’s game, which is why he’s such a highly sought-after prospect. While he doesn’t have the perfect frame or body type to be a WR1 and can sometimes be jammed at the line by longer corners, those are pretty much the only areas where improvement would be warranted.

While Tate did miss three games to a calf injury last year, it would be ridiculous to see that as anything other than a fluke injury.

Carnell Tate Fantasy Football Outlook

Tate’s 2026 Value

As far as the wide receiver room that Tate joins, he has an opportunity to assert himself as the top option immediately in 2026. Calvin Ridley’s best days are behind him, and the draft capital that Tennessee spent on Tate is clearly more than what they invested in Elic Ayomanor and Chimere Dike last year. Wan’Dale Robinson joined the Titans in free agency but does not project as the alpha receiver in an offense.

Of course, one of the big questions surrounding Tate’s outlook in 2026 is how Cam Ward progresses in his second season at the NFL level. If all goes well, Tate could finish well within the fantasy WR2 range as a rookie.

Carnell Tate Dynasty Fantasy Football Value

While I give Fernando Mendoza the nod as the 1.02 choice for dynasty, Tate is probably the “safe” third choice in 2026 rookie drafts based on his landing spot. The fact that he will have a clear runway to assert himself as the team’s top wideout right away is huge for his immediate outlook. The Titans obviously hope that he is the featured piece of their passing attack long-term as well. A history of calf issues does create a red flag to be aware of.
