Jordyn Tyson Highlights
Jordyn Tyson Scouting Report
Strengths
Mentored by Hines Ward has paid off, as Jordan Tyson is a great all-around wide receiver who can line up anywhere. He is a smooth athlete, but he possesses quickness and burst as well. Tyson attacks the ball in the air on contested throws, but he has shown that he can create separation with his routes as well. At 6-2, he also has the size to really compete with anyone at the next level, and you can’t teach height.
Along with being a talented receiver, Tyson is also a very willing blocker. This is a mentality that was surely cultivated by Ward.
Weaknesses
Tyson has shown multiple instances of concentration drops, which will likely remain an issue early in his career. Coupled with this, he can get impatient on his routes.
While he has quickness, his overall speed is a bit lacking. Tyson also has an injury history, and this pattern suggests he will struggle to play a full season. He is a tough-minded player who will play through some injuries, however.
Jordyn Tyson Fantasy Football Outlook
Tyson’s 2026 Value
Chris Olave surprised a lot of people with how well he performed for fantasy purposes last season. However, his target share was absolutely massive thanks in large part to the Saints having no other options. Given the draft capital spent, Tyson should have the opportunity to usurp Devaughn Vele as the second option at wide receiver. The nature of Kellen Moore’s offense will lead to no shortage of passing downs.
The success of Tyson’s rookie season will also depend on Tyler Shough improving upon the promising shines he showed last year. Tyson’s presence as an additional weapon figures to aid in that cause. Provided that all goes well, a WR3 finish would seem to be his ceiling.
Jordyn Tyson Dynasty Fantasy Football Value
The 2026 season may have its ups and downs, but Tyson landing with the Saints leads me to be more optimistic about his status in dynasty rookie drafts. Obviously his injury history is a concern. However, my overall outlook on the New Orleans offense going forward is positive, especially if Shough can follow-up on what he showed last year. With a belief that he will, I’m happy to consider Tyson at 1.04 and doubt he goes later than 1.06 in any rookie draft.
